Shamanic Vision Journey ~ Vision Feather
Needed: Feather of any type, 100% cotton red cloth, a white bead, string, sage
The cloth is used as a wrapping on the bottom of the feather to honour and represent the good Red Road. The white bead represents Great Spirit.
Wrap a ¼ -inch (6mm) strip of red cloth around the bottom stem of the feather. Tie it on with the string and hang the white bead on one of the ties.
Focus your attention on the feather while coming to a balance. As you look directly at the feather, your mind will begin to see images and hear sounds that are the vision. Listen and watch carefully as you use the feather. Record in your journal all you see and hear while working with the vision feather.
Your "path" is the link between you and the Great Spirit. It is necessary to have a path in order for Great Spirit to gift you with a "vision". When a true link is in place, Creator speaks to you in many ways. By remaining dedicated to your path, you strengthen this link and your vision becomes stronger.
Receiving a vision is empowering, take it seriously. A vision is not just sight, nor thoughts alone, nor spirit only. When a vision comes to you it is like a butterfly floating in the sky. It is the miracle of transformation.
